Accessibility

At American Technical Publishers (ATP), we are working to provide access to our materials for all learners. We strive to develop the most creative, engaging, and effective training products that enable individuals to attain the skills that help promote a better quality of life and continue the transfer of knowledge from generation to generation.

Accessibility means enabling every learner to use a product in a way that delivers a meaningful learning experience. ATP is taking active steps to make sure our products adhere to WCAG 2.1 AA/Section 508.

• For ATP products developed prior to summer 2020, we are working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA guidelines.

• For ATP products developed for copyright 2022 and beyond we are working to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines.

Requesting Alternative Formats
Requests for alternative versions of ATP products for use by an individual with a qualified disability are welcomed. ATP has PDFs available for most titles published since 2014. There are several options for receiving a PDF and the required permission to convert ATP content into an alternative format.

• You can request a PDF of an ATP textbook from the AccessText Network (ATN), a clearinghouse for publishers that provides PDFs to postsecondary Disability Support Offices within the U.S. and our territories. Note: ATN membership (free) is required before a request can be submitted.

Files requested via the ATN will be posted to the ATN server within 5 to 10 business days, where you can download it. The PDF will be ready for download once the request status changes from “Pending Fulfillment” to “Fulfilled.” For help, select
Message the Publisher under the Messages tab of the ATN request.

If 10 business days have passed, contact ATP with your ATN request ID to check the status of the request. If a PDF is not available or will be delayed, ATP will contact you via email regarding permission to create an alternate version of the book.

• If you require an alternative format of an ATP book with a copyright older than 2014, submit your request to Nicole Nelson at Nicole.Nelson@atplearning.com. If a PDF is available, ATP will provide that file to your institution’s Disability Support Services Office for use by a qualified instructor within the United States or Canada, with proof of purchase. Note: Requests from countries outside of the United States and Canada are considered on a case-by-case basis.

•
ATP does not offer audio, Braille, or large print versions of our textbooks but we will grant permission to have our PDFs converted into the appropriate format. Simply submit your request to Nicole Nelson at Nicole.Nelson@atplearning.com. PDFs smaller than 10 MB will be attached in an email that grants written permission to convert the file into the requested format. PDFs larger than 10 MB will be provided as a link to our FTP site in an email with instructions on how to download the files and written permission to convert the file into the requested format. You will have 10 days from the date the files are sent to download them.
Accessibility Challenges
To notify ATP of an accessibility challenge that you have identified in one of our products, please contact Nicole Nelson at Nicole.Nelson@atplearning.com. We appreciate the feedback.
